Most Eligible Bachelor is a movie that has been in the making for a long time. The film has released today and let’s see how it is.

Story:

Harsh (Akhil) is a well established software employee in the US. He plans a perfect life for his being and comes back to India to get married. Her parents arrange various proposals for her but Harsha is a stand-up comedian for Vibha (Pooja Hegde) who has a very practical mindset. But things take a turn due to a small family feud and Haarsh’s love story comes crashing down. How Haarsh changes his ideologies and wins Vibha’s heart is the core story of the film.

More Points :

Pooja Hegde looks beautiful as Vibha and performs well in important scenes as well. Bommarilu Bhaskar has effectively portrayed her role and portrays her as a modern independent woman. Murli Sharma is good in her role.

The songs are another added benefit to the film and are shot well. Sudigali Sudhir, Pragati, Venela Kishore have played their roles well. The camerawork is also pretty impressive.

Last but not least, Akhil looks handsome and gets a meaty role to perform. Though he looks naive in the first half, he delivers a mature performance in the latter part. His chemistry with Pooja Hegde is also very good.

Minus points:

There is good romance in Most Eligible Bachelor but there was a lot of scope to raise the romantic angle in the story but director Bhaskar did not do so. Also, the way Akhil and his Pelli Chopulu episodes are executed, it looks forceful.

Akhil tries to woo Pooja Hegde by hiding her. He meets her again and again in many ways but Pooja is completely unaware that this is the hero. There are many scenes related to this in which there is no logic.

The film is short on emotion. The family has shown and drama doesn’t play higher than that. Also, the film has some wedding froze scenes, and the problems in the relationship shown do not create any depth as the screenplay is weak.

technical aspects:

The production values of the film are top notch as the US and India scenes look rich. As mentioned above, Gopi Sundar’s music is one of the highlights. The look and costume of Pooja Hedge have been designed very stylishly and the dialogues are also contemporary.

Talking about director Bommarilu Bhaskar, he has done just a good job with the film. His story is simple and is about a boy who wants a girl who can adjust in life. But the way they executed the clash point on the lead pair is not that impressive. He keeps the proceedings brisk with songs and poignant comedy but in all of this, the dominant emotion beats along with the logic.

Decision:

Overall, Most Eligible Bachelor is a modern take on how today’s girls want to be their future mates. Good music and popular comedy are huge assets. However, the story is simple and logic gets lost here and there. All of them don’t mind that the things mentioned above can give this film a shot for its charming romance.
