Indian Cricket Team Coach: The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has released the application for the post of Coach for the National Cricket Team. Apart from head coach for men’s team, applications have also been invited for batting, bowling, fielding coach. Apart from this, vacancy has also been taken for the post of Head of Sports Science / Medicine of National Cricket Academy.

The tenure of Team India’s current coach Ravi Shastri and supporting staff will end after the T20 World Cup. In such a situation, the BCCI has started the application process to fill the vacant posts.

The application time for head coach has been kept till 5 pm on 26 October 2021. Apart from these, the date of application for other posts has been kept till November 3.

As per the job description for the head coach, the tenure will be of two years while the candidate should have experience of at least 30 Tests or 50 ODIs. Apart from this, the candidate should also have a BCCI level III certificate. Also the age of the candidate should be less than 60 years.

It is noteworthy that according to media reports that surfaced on Saturday, former cricketer Rahul Dravid has given his nod to the head coach and he will occupy this post after the T20 World Cup. However, no official announcement has been made regarding this yet.
