On the first day of the fourth Test, on Thursday, England’s first innings was limited to 205 runs. India scored 24 runs for one wicket till the end of the day’s play. India is now 181 runs behind. England’s poor start
Earlier, England won the toss in this match and decided to bat first but their start was very bad. Akshar bowled opener Dominic Sibley and bowled out cheaply and gave England the first blow. Sibley scored two runs in the eight-ball game.

England had not been able to recover from the shock before that when Akshar caught Jack Kravali in the hands of Siraj and sent him to the pavilion. Apart from Akshar, Ravichandran Ashwin took three wickets for 47 runs, Mohammad Siraj took two wickets for 45 runs and Washington Sundar took one wicket for 14 runs. Ishant Sharma remained empty handed for 23 runs.
