These days Ganesh Chaturthi is celebrated all over the world. This is a special festival of Maharashtra, so there is a little more gaiety to be seen here. If we talk about temples, then during Ganesh Chaturthi, there is a lot of crowd in Bappa’s temples. But, today we are going to tell you about a special temple of Bappa. The waves of the sea also knock in the only temple of the country, whose history is 400 years old. Let us tell you today some more features related to this temple.

This temple is situated in the Konkan region of Maharashtra, situated in the Sahyadri mountain range (Ratnagiri district) on the sea, which is also known as Swayambhu temple. In 1600 BC, at the site of the temple, there was a garden of Kewda under the mountains.

appeared in dreams

It is said that Balbhatji Bhide Brahmin used to live in the garden. One day Ganesh ji told him in a dream that this hill is my formless form, whoever serves me, I will end all his troubles. After this the Brahmins got engaged in the devotion of Bappa. Brahmin had a cow which had stopped giving milk

One day milk started coming out of that cow’s udder. During this, when the place was cleaned, the same idol came out from there which the Brahmin had seen in his dream. After this the temple was built.

Worshiped as a deity at the west door

It is believed that whoever comes here gets all his wishes fulfilled. It is said that Bappa was born in Ganapati Pule from the lap of nature itself, hence Lord Ganesha is also considered as the god of the west gate.

There is also an idol of Bappa made of monolithic rock in the temple, which especially attracts the tourist. It is also said that Shivaji Maharaj himself also went to visit this temple.

11 lamps outside the temple

For many years, Mahapuja has been taking place in this temple during Ganesh Chaturthi. Thousands of devotees come here to have darshan on this festival. At the same time, there is a huge crowd of devotees especially in this temple on Wednesdays. There are 11 lamps outside the temple, but due to Corona, the audience is being seen online.
