LIC Jeevan Azad Plan launch: Financial assistance is given to the family on the death of the insured person during the LIC Jeevan Azad policy.
New Delhi: Life Insurance Corporation of India ( LIC ) has launched Jeevan Azad (Plan No. 188), an insurance plan offering guaranteed returns. It is a limited term premium paying plan which provides financial assistance to the family in case of unfortunate death of the insured person during the policy term. This plan offers guaranteed Sum Assured if the LIC policyholder survives till the maturity tenure.
Sum insured in LIC Jeevan Azad policy
According to the policy documents, the minimum basic sum insured amount under LIC Jeevan Azad is Rs 2 lakh, while the maximum basic sum insured amount has been fixed at Rs 5 lakh. Under this plan, there will be no medical examination for the sum assured up to Rs 3 lakh. Whereas, medical examination will be necessary on the sum assured more than that.
LIC Jeevan Azad policy tenure and age limit
The policyholder can buy LIC Jeevan Azad plan for a minimum tenure of 15 years and a maximum of 20 years. Apart from this, the minimum age to buy this policy is 90 days and the maximum age limit is 50 years.
How to Pay Premium in LIC Jeevan Azad Policy The
new LIC plan offers the policyholder to pay premium regularly at yearly, half-yearly, quarterly and monthly intervals. At the time of purchasing the LIC Jeevan Anand policy, the policyholder will have the option of choosing the premium payment mode and tenure.
What are LIC Jeevan Azad Plan Maturity Benefits
If the policyholder survives the policy term, he/she will get a guaranteed Sum Assured on Maturity which is equal to the Basic Sum Assured. This means that on maturity a policyholder will get the sum assured (minimum Rs 2 lakh and maximum Rs 5 lakh). What will happen to the policy on the death of the policy holder If the policy holder dies during the policy term, then on death the Sum Assured will be given to the nominee.
