Punjabi singer Sidhu Moosewala was shot dead in broad daylight in Mansa district of Punjab. The crime has been carried out near village Jawaharke. Moosewala’s death has created a sensation in Punjab.
Two of Musewala’s accomplices are injured. police is investigating the matter. The Bhagwant Mann government of Punjab had removed the security of Sidhu Musewala on Saturday itself.
It is being told that earlier the singer had about 10 gunmen but the Man Sarkar had reduced their number. Two killers riding in a black car have carried out the crime. Musewala had contested the assembly elections from Mansa this year on a Congress ticket.
Moosewala, who was defeated by 63323 votes, contested from Mansa in Punjab on a Congress ticket. However, he had to face a crushing defeat in this election. Dr. Vijay Singla of Aam Aadmi Party defeated Moosewala by 63323 votes. Moosewala had joined the Congress just before the elections in 2021. During this, former Congress President Navjot Singh Sidhu called him a youth icon.
Political parties have targeted Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann after the assassination of Chief Minister Man Sidhu Musewala when security was withdrawn. The way Mann is withdrawing the security one after the other, questions are being raised on him. Rajinder Singh Jawaharke of Shiromani Akali Dal (A) and some Congress leaders said that if Moosewala’s security had not been withdrawn, he would not have been a victim of such an attack.
He said the attackers killed Sidhu Musewala as soon as the security was withdrawn. Shiromani Akali Dal (A) President Simarjit Singh Mann said that earlier Deep Sidhu was killed through the scheme and now young singer Sidhu Musewala has been killed. Punjab government will have to answer for this.
