UGC NET 2021: Extension to apply for NET exam, know full details
New Delhi: The National Testing Agency (NTA) has extended the deadline to apply for the UGC NET 2021. Interested candidates are therefore urged to apply as early as possible by March 9 by the UGC and the National Testing Agency. The option to apply is available on the website ugcnet.nta.nic.in. The last date for filing applications for this exam is March 9 and applications can be submitted till 11.50 pm. (UGC net exam application forms date extended to 9 march)
Extension of payment of examination fee also
The National Testing Agency (NTA) has also extended the deadline for paying net exam fees. The deadline to pay the exam fee has been extended to 11.50 pm on March 12. The application deadline has been extended to March 16.
Exam in May
One has to apply first to appear for the UGC NET 2021 exam. Today is the last date to apply for this exam. Also, if you want to amend the application, you have to give 5 to 9 March. If there is any error in the application of the candidate during this period, it can be rectified. The application cannot be amended thereafter. The UGC NET Exam (UGC NET 2021) will be held on May 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 10, 11, 12, 14 and 17. Also, the UGC Net exam in December 2020 was delayed due to corona. It will now be taken up in May 2021.
What is UGC NET Exam?
The University Eligibility Commission (UGC) conducts the National Eligibility Test (NET) for the post of Junior Research Fellowship and Assistant Professor in universities and other institutions of higher learning across the country. This examination is conducted twice a year in the months of June and December. However, the Corona epidemic in 2020 delayed the conduct of these tests.
How to apply?
If you want to take the UCG NET exam, you have to visit the official website of the National Testing Agency. Go to ugcnet.nta.ac.in and click on New Registration option to complete the registration process. Registration can be done with the help of mobile number and email. After registration then one can apply for UGC NET exam. There is an examination fee of Rs.1000 / – for general category to apply. The examination fee will be Rs.500 / – for financially backward class and Rs.250 / – for backward class and third party candidates.
